The sequel to the espresso drinks post, this time featuring coffee drinks which are not espresso based. this follows the same kind of format and uses similar language, so if partway through this post doesn’t make sense it give the first couple of sentences a read to get up to speed.
So many variables go into dialling in for coffee: bean type, roast level, age, dosage burrs, personal preference. Because of that I can’t give any definitive values for a great cup, but what I can do is give a decent starting point.
There are many many resources online about the various types of espresso based drinks. At times I’ve found it a bit overwhelming. Hopefully these definitions and recipes can act as a good starting point for anyone getting started in the world of espresso drinks.
